Chief of Staff

Michroma is looking for a proactive and results-oriented Chief of Staff to join the team in Rosario, Argentina, or to work remotely.

Experience & Requirements.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Provide support to the Executive Team to attend to their goals in commercial efforts, Product Development, R&D, People, and Finance, among others.
  • Design and implement OKRs, ensuring strong departmental level OKR roll-up and continuous improvement mentality.
  • Foster investor relations and provide monthly updates.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables for CEO, C-Suite, and managers, enforcing accountability and achieving tangible outcomes.
  • Serve as a project manager for key areas including Marketing, Business Development, People & Culture, Finance & Accounting, and Facility Management.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives, special projects, and ensure action items are executed on behalf of the CEO, anticipating troubleshooting of priorities as they arise.
  • Facilitate and prioritize all business functions associated with daily operations, including creating and maintaining databases, analyzing costs, etc.
  • Drive content creation and agendas for key internal and external purposes.
  • Monitor the organization's health: advise on situations that require additional support or escalation and make specific recommendations.
  • Attend on behalf of or shadow the CEO in critical meetings by taking notes, tracking and following up on action items, as well as company-wide communication.
  • Lead by example, champion Michroma, maintain a good image of the organization, and uphold company values; inspiring and motivating team members to do the same.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as Chief of Staff, CEO, COO, in management consulting, project management, venture capital, or a comparable role at a start-up.
  • Demonstrated success in investor relations.
  • Proven experience in leadership, operations, or strategic roles with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Proven program management ability with strong delivery & execution focus that will drive overall effectiveness and efficiency as the company grows.
  • Experience preparing Board meetings and running corporate processes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Background in biotechnology and/or the food industry: Extensive knowledge of startup fundraising and the venture capital industry.
  • Operating experience – ideally in both large and small company environments.
  • An undergraduate and/or graduate degree focused on Management, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, or related fields.

  • Advanced or Native English.
  • Proficiency in various platforms (GSuite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, creative suites).
  • Passion for food and/or biotech, consumer goods, and entrepreneurial environments.
  • Comfort and flexibility with the ambiguity and pace of a startup environment.
